Quotation (with page number or parag number or time stamp if video/audio)
“The new tools of social media have reinvented social activism.”
Comment (250-500 words)
In the article “Small Change” by Malcom Gladwell, he talks about how back then we didn’t have social media to reach out to people about protests that were happening and that was all done by ear, hearing that this is happening from someone and trying to talk to other people and find more. He mentions that now with facebook and twitter, that the world is in the beginning of a revolution. Facebook and twitter give its users the opportunity to reach out to different people around the world. By having this kind of access to people and different people, we are able to show and tell people current things that are happening around us that others might not know about. We can connect with people who might take interest in whatever is happening and find solutions to what is happening or having it get so much attention that someone who can actually do something sees it and tries to do something with it whether it be good or bad.
